Vietnam’s Central Premium Mall and apartments set to open in 2019

Ho Chi Minh City is getting a new shopping center, the Central Premium Mall, in District 8, next year. Set to open in the third quarter of 2019, the six-story mall spans 40,000sqm, and is expected to welcome more than 3 million visitors annually. 

Project owner Quoc Cuong Gia Lai says the shopping center has cost $43 million USD (1 trillion VND) to build and will be managed by a international real estate management company.

The layout of the shopping center has been designed to showcase domestic and international retail and food and beverage brands. 

• The first and second floors will host 200 kiosks including fashion retailers, luxury cafes and a supermarket

• The third level will be for dining. More than 30 restaurants, including America’s HolyCow, China’s Melie Dimsum, Korea’s Gangnam BBQ will be featured along with domestic food brands.

• The fourth and fifth floors are for entertainment. There are plans to have a Kids World children’s playground along with a variety of adult entertainment bars and spaces. There will be Mexican Ritacita Bar, Beer Club Vuvuzela, Bar Redbull and Bar Rocco, among others.

• The sixth floor will be a cinema floor with the entire floor hosting a multi-screen complex. 

Central Premium Mall will occupy the lower levels of the Central Premium apartment complex that is currently under construction. 

A roof-topping ceremony for the Central Premium apartments was recently held and. The apartment complex will be managed by Savills Vietnam. Apartments are scheduled to be handed over to residents in the third quarter of 2019.
