True Digital Park Bangkok adds 4 Global IT companies as partners

True Digital Park Bangkok, the first global startup destination in Thailand and the largest digital innovation hub in Southeast Asia, has announced that it will collaborate with four global technology leaders – Cisco, Epson, Microsoft and Ricoh – in the development of its digital park.

The True Digital Park is located in the eastern-part of Bangkok and encompasses 200,000 square meters of space for startups, entrepreneurs, tech companies, investors, accelerators, incubators, academies and government agencies.

The four partners have contributed a variety of smart technologies, such as Heat Map technology, lighting control, AI technology for face recognition, interactive ready projectors, smart office and printers, and an innovation experience center. Specifically the companies are providing the following:

An architecture design for True Digital Park Bangkok

Cisco: Will incorporate Heat Map technologies that collect data on space utilization within True Digital Park for further analysis, management and effective communication with the users; and Smart Lighting that operates power control at the office and meeting rooms to ensure Smart Buildings and Offices.

Epson: Will provide interactive projectors at board rooms and high-contrast projectors at large conference rooms. All projectors support wireless connection to ensure efficient and engaging meetings.

Microsoft: Will introduce an AI-driven face detection and facial recognition system to automatically monitor incoming and outgoing foot traffic instead of relying traditional card-based alternatives. This new system is powered by Cognitive Services on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform.

Ricoh: Will install multifunctional printers to support activities handled by start-ups and users at the convention centers inside True Digital Park. The Ricoh Experience Center will also be established as a platform to ignite creativity under the concept of open innovation.

The announcement of the new partnerships builds on True Digital Park’s other partner successes announced in 2018, when the park announced a partnership with Google to help boost the digital knowledge and skills of Thais.

Google is providing support as a global digital technology partner with a learning program designed to embed digital innovation in start-ups and entrepreneurs through collaborative trainings, workshops and networking activities. Google is also establishing a digital incubation center at the park, “Academy Bangkok – A Google Space.”

As well as a variety of business and office facilities, True Digital Park will contain lifestyle and residential areas that will be designed as “Smart City Residential Zones.”

The park will promote environmental consciousness and utilize energy efficient technologies, such as Pave Gen, a technology of paving slabs that convert energy from people’s footsteps into small amounts of electrical power, and EV Chargers to promote the use of electric vehicles (EV).
