Nguyen Hoang Group to build 10 “International Education Cities” across Vietnam

The Nguyen Hoang Group (NHG), one of Vietnam’s leading private education companies, plans to build 10 “International Education City” (IEC) facilities across Vietnam that will offer students modern experience-based educational methods.

IEC is a pioneering educational model in Vietnam that covers all levels of education and in March 2018, NHG began construction of its first IEC project in the central province of Quang Ngai.

As the first comprehensive education ecosystem in Vietnam, IEC Quang Ngai contains the essential facilities for learning convenience and optimization. The 10-hectare campus is expected to open in May 2019 and can accommodate 6,000 students.

The new facility will have a 76% “green-to-concrete ratio” and includes areas for painting, music, aerobics, laboratories, robots, a theatre, movie theatre, tennis courts, 10-lane-Olympic-swimming-pool and a multipurpose hall for entertainment and sports events with 1,800 seats.

Speaking at a recent education workshop in Ho Chi Minh City, Dr. Do Manh Cuong, permanent member of NHG education council, said the group would expand the IEC model nationwide, including a 100-hectare project in Nam Hoi An, and a 40-hectare project in Bac Lieu. By the end of 2024, the company expects to have a minimum of 10 ICE facilities operational.

Dr. Do said, “Students live in an international environment and have contact and experience international elements, so they will truly be exposed to global thinking.”
